Werklund School of Education ASERT

Description:

The PEERS Social Interventions programs are evidence-based social skills programs for preschoolers, teens, and young adults. Designed for motivated individuals, PEERS helps participants learn how to make and keep friends through direct teaching, role-play, and guided social practice. Participants build skills such as communication, cooperation, emotional regulation, and sportsmanship. Parents and caregivers take part in parallel sessions, where they learn strategies to support skill development and coach social practice at home and in the community.
