An organization founded by a small, dedicated group of parents who saw a need for social and recreational programming with those living with autism. With Alto, families can hire respite workers, behavioural aides, community aides, and more. Alto can directly bill FSCD for your services. There are no extra fees and no weekly or monthly minimums, all families pay is the hourly rate of their caregiver. Families are also able to choose their own caregiver from Alto, so they get reliable care from someone that fits their family, at an hourly rate that works for them. Private Service Dog Assessments (Government of Alberta)

If you already have a have a dog that you believe is trained well enough to qualify as an official service dog, it’s possible to have you and the animal assessed by the Government of Alberta in order to receive the official certification. Proof of the dog’s good health and temperament must be assured, and the dog and handler will be assessed on their ability to deal with a variety of situations and challenges. Werklund School of Education ASERT

The PEERS Social Interventions programs are evidence-based social skills program for youth 13 to 18 years old. PEERS and PEERS-YA are evidence-based and empirically-supported interventions designed to help motivated teens/adults learn how to make and keep friends. Teens/adults are taught and shown important social skills, and are given the opportunity to practice these skills during socialization activities.
