Developmental/Behavioural Support Contract Providers (DBS)

Developmental/Behavioural Support CONTRACT

Sometimes, when a child does not qualify for Specialized Services, when they have transitioned from them or while they wait for Specialized Services to be approved, a DBS (Developmental/Behavioural Support) might be offered by FSCD. This contract is less intensive than Specialized Services and has a 6 month duration. Typically, it has 9 hours of Aide support per week and 26 total hours of consultation from 1 or 2 professionals (the hours can be split). One of the consultants has to be the program coordinator and write a plan that includes the family goals to focus for the duration of the contract.
