Calgary Gymnastics Centre

The Aspiring Abilities program is designed to allow children who require greater attention and adaptation to participate in the captivating sport of gymnastics. In this program, trained coaches, under the direction of a specialized coach, are grouped together to provide greater support and aid in your child’s success. Coaches ensure a safe environment conducive to your child’s learning and development, shifting the focus from disability to ability. 2/1 Athlete to Coach Ratio. Registration required.

The Dance Compound

Provides students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique community and inclusive experience in which the students can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer. Their highly trained and certified instructors have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines. Some of whom are Neurodivergent themselves. They offer Neurodivergent specific Dance Classes and have a variety of regular classes and events for all ages.

Junction 9 & WYMBIN

Sketch & Stretch (Ages 12-15) for students with Autism and Adapted Needs. Children and families will be guided by our qualified instructors/educators as well assisted by instructors in training. Takes place over a registered 6-week period.

MOVE (GoodLife Kids)

A free adapted physical activity program exclusively designed for youth 12 to 21 years with autism or intellectual disabilities. MOVE currently runs virtually year-round focusing on physical literacy and building a love of fitness. Having fun and creating relationships is a major component of MOVE; their coaches work with the participants to learn what they like, and those preferences get incorporated into the program.

Renegade Cheer

Offers an all-Abilities cheer program for ages 8+ called Radiance. 1:1 support of provided for individuals that require additional assistance. They are inclusive and open to everyone. Team will compete/perform at 2 local competitions as well as 2 in house showcases. Coaches trained in working with individuals with disabilities.

Spectrum Yoga and Wellness Ltd.

A mobile yoga company that teaches city-wide, offering therapeutic yoga classes for children, adults, and seniors with neurological and physical disabilities. They teach private, semi-private, and public classes, which are individualized specifically to meet each person’s needs and abilities. Spectrum Yoga and Wellness also offers Developmental and Behavioural Supports (PUF, PDD, and FSCD), as well as community aide supports and respite services. Siblings, family members, and community aides are also welcome to participate and assist.

Trico Centre for Family Wellness

Sensory Swim time is set to provide a more relaxed and quiet pool environment for those with hyper sensory needs. All participants wanting access to the pool deck MUST be a paying participant. This includes non-swimmers unless companying as an aid WITH and access 2 card. Any children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult 16 years or older who is also fully in a bathing suit and in the water within arm’s reach. 11:15am – 12:45pm on Fridays, registration required.
