Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD Funding Support for Childcare
Family Support for Children with Disabilities may provide funding to assist with the extraordinary costs associated with a childs care and supervision needs. This funding is only intended for work-related childcare, this means the parent must be attending work or an educational setting. Families need to specifically speak with your FSCD caseworker and request funding for an aide in the childcare setting. This funding can be for supports such as; child care support – children under the age of 13 yearschild care support – children 13 years of age and olderaide in a child care facilityadditional space in a family day homeaide in day care for developmental purposes
Inclusive Child Care (ICC)
The inclusive child care is a FREE program for licensed childcare providers to access help building their skills to care for children with extraordinary needs. The program is focused on building skills for educators that:Help build capacity and confidence to support children with a diverse range of needsImprove resilience and protective factors for children in the early yearsSupport the inclusion and developmental needs of all childrenSupport best practice strategies for inclusive practices in early educationSupport the application of trauma informed best practicesEnhance knowledge and navigation of available support systems
