Calgary SCOPE Society
Calgary Scope Society offers an Outreach Program and a Gateways Program, both offer support for working on one behavioral goal. Any child that is eligible for FSCD funding can access this (the child doesn’t need to be recieving funding). No referral needed, wait times typically under a year
Pediatric Community Rehabilitation (PCR) – Alberta Health Services
The Pediatric Community Rehabilitation is a free support from Alberta Health Services. The PCR provides therapeutic support & parent consultation for Albertans 0-18. There may be support from Speech & Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapists (OT), Physiotherapists and more. Appointments are virtual or in-person. Parents can access this directly and dont need a referral.
Program Unit Funding (PUF)
Program Unit Funding (PUF) is early intervention services for children to access support in an educational setting. This is free programming for children who require additional support to prepare them for Kindergarten and Grade 1. Depending on the level of support needed, children can access PUF services as early as 2 years 8 months and for a maximum of 3 years (with the last year intended for kindergarten). Children must be at least 5 years old as of December 31 of the year they have started Kindergarten. Parents do not need to apply for PUF, they simply need to find a PUF provider. “
