Offers door to door transportation to those who cannot take public transit due to their disability (safety, sensory dysregulation etc). Their transportation is the same cost as a typical bus pass or ticket and the transportation is provided in a taxi cab or a shuttle bus, both of which may have other passengers on it so that means there are multiple stops before each rider reaches their destination. There is an application with a doctors section that needs to be filled out. CTA does not provide rides to Calgary public schools

Canadian Adaptive Snowsports Association Calgary (CADS)

A volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting those living with a disability to lead richer and fuller lives through active participation in recreational and competitive skiing and snowboarding. CADS promotes adaptive sport by teaching people with disabilities how to ski/snowboard by using skills and equipment tailored to their individual needs. Canine Companion

Their Skilled Companions dogs are trained to work with an adult or child with a disability, serving as a tool to assist in developing independent living skills, as well as integrating into structured therapies and being utilized to facilitate social interactions. Note that these dogs do not have ASD-specific training, but are instead intended to provide companionship and emotional support, and are not trained to be responsible for the safety of their charge. Recipients must be at least 5 years old, and the dog must be cared for by a party judged to be capable of adequately caring for the needs of the animal.
