Dance/Movement Therapy is an approach to counselling that enables connection to an individual’s emotional and behavioural needs through body movement and sensory exploration. Its ability to engage with individuals non-verbally and from a sensory lens is a valuable asset to individuals with Autism. Dance/movement therapy aims to de-rigidify behaviours and thought patterns and incorporate more self-awareness and social relational skills.
