Calgary Alternative Employment Service (CAES)
Assists job-seekers to overcome barriers, understand workplace culture and fill the personnel needs of inclusive employers in Calgary. CAES works with each client to identify their ideal work setting and employment support needs. Job interviews and employment placement are facilitated in accordance with the client’s goals. We then provide ongoing follow-up support to both the client and the employer in order to strengthen their skills and working relationship as well as ensure job satisfaction and retention.

EmploymentWorks Program
Offers employment preparedness training and support, combined with job sampling and hands-on experience to autistic adults and persons with disabilities. Exceptional Abilities Educational Consultation & Tutoring
Exceptional Abilities Education Consulting and Tutoring has a youth & adult support includes Career Connections program offering career coaching, skills training, and mentorship. Their unique Adapted Learn to Drive program adapts driver’s education for neurodiverse learners and individuals who benefit from tailored instruction. Lessons focus on building confidence, safety awareness, and mastery of both technical and social aspects of driving. They also offer workshops for students, parents and educators.

Ready, Willing & Able
Ready, Willing, & Able is a government funded initiative aimed to support Autistic individuals in various avenues; such as employment and entrepreneurship. The role of our Autism Outreach Coordinator (AOC) is to act as service navigator for Calgary-based, self-identifying Autistic job seekers, aged 16+ to supportive employment services, and/or other community resources as it pertains to the ability to secure equitable, and competitive employment. After an initial discovery meeting with a job seeker (where their employment goals and support needs are discussed), the AOC can make recommendations to resources in the community, with the ultimate aim of assisting them connect to supports who can assist in obtaining and retaining that competitive employment. Support services can support by providing pre-employment and employment readiness supports, having connections to competitive employment opportunities with businesses in a variety of industries and offering any additional supports or accommodations that may be needed once hired.

Vocational Rehabilitation Program for Canada Pension Plan Disability Benefits Recipients
The Disability Vocational Rehabilitation Program is a voluntary program that helps Canada Pension Plan (CPP) disability benefit recipients return to work. If you are receiving a CPP disability benefit, you may be eligible for vocational counselling, financial support for training, and job-search services. You can participate in the Disability Vocational Rehabilitation Program if you are receiving a CPP disability benefit, you are likely to return to work through the assistance of this program and your medical condition is stable.
