The Ability Hub is pleased to offer the UCLA PEERS® Training Seminar. PEERS® is an internationally recognized model in which professionals learn to teach youth and their parents social etiquette for the development and maintenance of friendships and social skills for teenagers with developmental and Autism Spectrum Disorders. The PEERS® Training Seminar is designed for professionals and educators who are interested implementing the PEERS® intervention in their clinical practice, or as part of their research program. The program is a manualized, social skills training intervention for adolescents and young adults. It has a strong evidence-base for use with teens and young adults with ASD and is appropriate for individuals with additional mental health concerns or socio-emotional problems (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, depression)
Speakers
Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson is the Founder and Director of the UCLA PEERS® Clinic and has been a principal investigator and collaborator on a number of studies investigating social skills training for youth with developmental disabilities from preschool to early adulthood.
Dr. Mina Park is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the
UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior
Learning Objectives

- Learn how to administer the PEERS® intervention to parents and teens
- Learn how to evaluate the success of the PEERS® intervention with clients
