Every year Autism Calgary organizes and hosts our School Parent Panel.  This event is meant to inform parents of kids with ASD ( Autism Spectrum Disorder) from grade 1-12 about the various educational options available to them in Calgary.

This is one of our most successful annual events, and we hope you will join us again this year. It will happen on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Executive Royal Hotel ( formerly Executive Royal Inn) 2828 23 St NE, Calgary, AB from 6:30-9:00 pm–   map

This year, we are taking a new approach and the event will be organized a little differently.  Our goal is to promote more discussion and sharing among our attending families.

What can you expect?

  • Handout– what we know about relevant educational options  available in Calgary for our kids.
  • General introduction by Lyndon Parakin, Executive Director of Autism Calgary on the current status of special needs education in Alberta
  • Short presentations by individual parents sharing what they know about specific school placements.
  • Q and A period for our volunteer presenters.
  • (New!) Round table discussion groups We will create several smaller discussion groups at the end of the evening, where you the parents can connect with other parents and volunteer presenters to discuss the various school options.

In short, we are offering an opportunity for all of you to get to know and share with other parents as much as possible about what is available education-wise for your child with ASD in Calgary!

Registration is necessary as our space is limited.
