We’re happy to announce the 2021 Autism Calgary Holiday Party! This will take place on December 20th at Trico Centre for Family Wellness, and will feature ice skating, meeting Santa, and lunch (included in ticket price). To register, visit https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/autism-calgary-association/events/2021-autism-calgary-holiday-party/.

Please note that Trico adheres to the REP Restriction Exemption (attendants over age 12 must be fully vaccinated, and all participants must be masked, unless a medical exemption is provided).

Tickets: Tickets are $5 per attendee. Please note that tickets are per attendee rather than per family, so please ensure you book enough for everybody in your party. Each ticket type represents a different event schedule (see below), so it’s recommended that families book the same ticket type for every member. Also note that tickets are non-refundable; if you become unable to attend the event, please contact , and your tickets will be given to a family in need.

Schedule: In order to maintain a safe capacity and reduce the chance of a sensory overload, attendees will choose one of four schedules for the Holiday Party, reflected by the different ticket types. The “skating” portion of the event will let attendees skate at the Trico ice rink (note that there are bleachers on the side of the rink for non-skaters); the “Santa” portion consists of Meet Santa and lunch in the Trico gymnasium. See below for more information on the event activities.

  • Ticket Type A: Skating from 11:30am to 12:15pm, then Santa from 12:30pm to 1:15pm
  • Ticket Type B: Santa from 11:30am to 12:15pm, then Skating from 12:30pm to 1:15pm
  • Ticket Type C: Skating from 1:30pm to 2:15pm, then Santa from 2:30pm to 3:15pm
  • Ticket Type D: Santa from 1:30pm to 2:15pm, then Skating from 2:30pm to 3:15pm

Skating: This activity is a 45-minute free skate. Please note that participants must bring their own equipment, including ice skates, helmets, and skate assists (plastic only for these).

Meet Santa: A chance to meet Santa. We will have a photographer capture this special moment. Parents/caregivers, please  bring pre-wrapped gifts from home, which Santa can then present. Please label the name of the receiver on all gifts, to ensure that everyone gets the correct gift. There will be a helpful elf collecting the gifts for Santa to pass out when the time comes.

Lunch: A lunch is included in the ticket price, with one lunch per ticket/attendee. For any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free), please contact  by December 15th, and a specialized lunch will be provided.

Sponsored/Donated Tickets: If serious financial hardship prevents your family from coming to this event, there are a limited number of sponsored/donated tickets available. Contact  with the number of tickets needed to see if we have any remaining.
