Jo-Ann Maritiu and Dr. Charles Krebs
LEAP Therapy and Autism
Presenter: Jo-Ann Lee-Maritiu
We are so pleased to have Ms. Jo-Ann Lee-Maritiu, LEAP therapist, present to our November BioMedical group. She will share with our audience what is LEAP, how it can help our children and adults with ASD, her success stories and invite a question and answer period on this kinesiology-based therapy.
LEAP also known as Learning Enhanced Acupressure Program has been developed since 1985 by Dr. Charles Krebs in conjunction with neurologists, clinical psychologists, speech pathologists and other health professionals to bring about an effective program for integrating recent concepts in the neurophysiology of brain with highly specific acupressure formats. LEAP is used to address stress within the different structures of the brain. The application of acupressure and other kinesiology techniques are used to resolve these stresses resulting in a return to normal function. We will be addressing LEAP, Specialized Kinesiology and their role in Autism.
The meeting is at Autism Calgary office, 174-3359-27th Street NE, on Thursday, November 29th from 7-9 pm.
