June 24th/14- The Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) explained- A Special Presentation.

Please come and join Sherry MacInnis, Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) Provincial Trainer/Specialist here at Autism Calgary for an evening of demystifying the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS). This scale has been adopted by Persons with Developmental Disabilities Program (PDD) in Alberta, as one of the tools to determine level of supports needed by individuals with disabilities. Many families have questions about what this tool means, how to interpret its results and how will it affect an individual’s PDD supports.

Sherry will  provide an overview of the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) “My Support Profile”, how it can assist with Service and Individual Support Planning, along with understanding the connection to the 8 key Quality of Life areas.

Sherry and a representative from Persons with Developmental Disabilities Program’s Family Managed Supports will also be here to answer families’ questions.
