World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD)
Event @ Olympic Plaza
April 2, 2014
Autism Aspergers Friendship Society (AAFS), Autism Calgary Association (ACA), Allies for Autism (AFA), and the Calgary Autism Community Network (ACN) are hosting a fun-filled World Autism Awareness Day celebration at the Olympic Plaza to raise awareness and acceptance, not just for kids but also adults on the Autism Spectrum .
There will be entertainment, food vendors, bouncy house, AAFS Film Club, a photo booth, and much more. The event is between 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
At 12:45 pm, we will be making an unofficial attempt to break the world record for the number of people blowing bubbles! We will have some bubbles available on-site but you are invited to bring your own bubbles.
Encourage support on this day; whether at the event or at work or school by wearing bright colors or tie-dye to symbolize acceptance of being different.
Encourage your son or daughter’s classroom to take a field trip on April 2 to celebrate Autism! Bring bubbles!
There is no need to register for this event. Free for all ages.
For more information contact Tracy at 403-250-5033 ext 222.
See you there!
