Dr. Temple Grandin did not talk until she was three and a half years old and was diagnosed with autism in 1950. She is now a noted animal expert (PhD. In Animal Science) and advocate for autistic populations. Dr. Grandin has authored numerous award winning books and was the subject of an Emmy and Golden Globe award winning movie. A unique chance to hear this inspiring speaker with a message of hope for anyone facing adversity! Come join us to hear this renowned speaker and advocate and celebrate 25 years of Autism Calgary.
Over the course of 25 years Autism Calgary has gone from a small group of energetic volunteer parents struggling to understand a rare disorder to a thriving organization helping almost 2000 individuals and families every year to find meaningful and purposeful lives in a community that values them. To celebrate the organization and all the individuals, families, volunteers and staff that have made the organization what it is today.
