Stem Cell Therapy-

Two families and their experience

October 25th, 2012

Autism Calgary Office 174-3359-27th Street NE

7-9 pm

Presenters:  Kathy Heenan  and Leslie Godau

Leslie Godau and Kathy Heenan will be sharing their experiences about taking their sons to the Dominican Republic to receive stem cell therapy. Both families travelled to D.R. within the past six months so results of treatment can now be described and evaluated. The type of stem cell is adult stem cell, extracted from the patient from adipose (fat) and bone marrow. The presentation will be formatted with slides, including pictures surrounding medical treatment, hotel stay and activities before and after treatment. It is the hope, that participants in the biomedical meeting will come away with a grasp of what the families and their sons experienced, a fuller understanding of the medical procedure, including costs and travel expectations and finally an objective report of the results of helping alleviate the symptoms of autism for the boys involved. The presenters thank Autism Calgary for the opportunity to share this valuable information
