As you can see Autism Calgary has jazzed up the old website! We have reorganized it in the hopes that it will be simpler and easier to use and provide lots of useful information and tools for our members. Here is a guide to the pages and what you can find in each. However, please note that the new page is a work in progress and it will take us a little while to work out all the bugs!

1. About: An explanation of what Autism Calgary is, our mission, vision, values, our Board of Directors and our Staff.

2. What is ASD: An explanation of what Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is.

3. What We Do: An explanation of the programs and services we offer.

4. Spectrum Advantage: A link to the website for our employment program, called Spectrum Advantage.

5. Membership: Information on the benefits of membership and a link to a pdf of the membership application form.

6. Contact Us: The general organizational contact information and staff specific contact information.

Pages on the main guide on the homepage (the boxes):

1. Calendar: This page has our google calendar with all our regular support groups and regular recreation groups as well as our special, annual events such as our Holiday or Summer Party. Below the google calendar there is also a list of special, annual events and links to the event pages where you can find out more and register.

2. Regular Support & Recreation Groups: This is the page where everyone will now go to see all of our Regular Support Groups and Recreation Groups (such as KIT, FAN, Pokémon Club, Asperger’s Support Network, Biomedical Support Group, etc.). Each group is listed with its description and will tell you when the next one is being held and provide a link to the registration page.

3. Resources: Links to community organizations and service providers relevant to Autism in Calgary and area, organized by category.

4. Our Community Forum: This is a new feature for our website that we have never had before! Chat Forums! Members (who have their membership approved by our administration) can post questions and topics and others can respond. A great place to share information or ask questions to others in the Autism Calgary Community!

5. Donate: Various portals for donating in person, via mail or online to Autism Calgary. Thank you to all our generous donors who help to keep our doors open!

6. Educational Presentations: Information about the educational presentations we offer to schools, community groups and workplaces. This page also allows you to request a presentation using our online form.

7. News & Special Events: This is our new blog (where you are now) where we will post articles about interesting topics and have articles and videos from community members and volunteers. We will also post information about special, annual events.

8. Classifieds: This page is still under construction but we will be having a portal for Autism Calgary community members to buy, sell, trade or share information about items, services and events – sort of like a mini Kijiji just for Autism Calgary community members!
