Community Education Services has many events all through the summer and fall. One highlight in particular is the “Transitioning to Adult Services – An Overview of the Support Systems”. This event runs on September 20th from 11:00am – 12:30pm at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Kinsmen Learning Centre (4th floor) 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW.

The events will have information from main bodies (AISH, PDD & more) with most of the information you’ll need when moving into adult services. Participants will learn about the Adult Guardianship and Trustee Act, the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped program (AISH), the Persons with Developmental Disabilities program (PDD). Timelines to aid a smooth transition to adult services will be emphasized.
