AWARD CATEGORIES:
Leadership Individual Adult – This award will be presented to up to 3 individuals on the Autism Spectrum who has for three or more years, demonstrated independence, dedication and inspiration – raising awareness in his or her community about autism; providing leadership, support and encouragement of other people with Autism and their families. The nominee has gained the respect of the autism community. *The nominees must be 18 years or older.
Leadership Individual (Child or Teen) this award will be presented to up to 3 individuals on the Autism Spectrum who raises awareness in his or her community about autism; provides leadership in their community and supports and encourages everyone around them. The nominee has gained the respect of the community. *The nominee must be 17 years or younger
Leadership Mentor – This award will go to 3 individuals who have been providing mentorship to an individual or group of individuals with Autism for more than three years. This individual demonstrates success through support, inclusion and integration of people with Autism into the local community and society at large. This individual must demonstrate success through practical outcomes such as the development and success of the individual or group of individuals being mentored. *The nominee must be 19 years or older.
Lifetime of Service – This award will go to up to an Individual who has been in service to the Calgary Autism Community for at least 15 years. This individual is a role model for co-workers, colleagues and all who have crossed their path. They have been an advocate, a pioneer, a mentor and a leader in the ASD community.
Outstanding Achievements in the Arts – Up to 10 individuals (Children, Youth and Adults) will be recognized for outstanding work in the following categories: Photography, Painting, Drawings, Poetry, Short Story, Acting, Sculpting, Dancing and anything else that may be considered Art not listed here.
