The Baby Siblings Study

Help Autism Research! The Baby Siblings Study is recruiting infants under the age of 6 months who have an older sibling with or without a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our goal is to learn more about differences in early speech, language, and development in those children who are at higher risk for developing Autism later on. We hope that our findings will help healthcare workers recognize early signs of ASD and other language problems during infancy, so that in the future these children can receive help as soon as possible.

Participation involves approximately 6 visits to our lab at the University of Calgary when the infants are between the ages of 4-6 months and 3 years. During the visits the infants participate in a number of fun, play-based activities.  You are with your child the whole time, and we offer babysitting for older siblings if required.  If you are interested in participating in this study with your infant or would like some more information, please contact us by phone at (403) 210-8678, or by email at .
